Cebu City Zoo eyed for reopening

Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama continues his ramification in achieving a Singapore-like Cebu City within his term. Among his plans to achieve such is the beautification of Cebu City, which includes the revival of the Cebu City Zoo. It finally came to realization when Former Cebu Provincial Governor Francisco Remotigue donated lot 1298 of Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP). They set aside a portion of the land in 1969. An established concrete idea of the zoo began in 1973. After the zoo was built, it was entrusted to Fr. Eleuterio Tropa who was known to be a long-haired priest who always carried a large python snake and walked barefooted. He has an innate passion for animals and is an expert zoo keeper. Here is the complete list of areas in Cebu where the proposed Super Health Centers will be located. Senator Bong Go, who chairs the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, said these health centers would include birthing, outpatient isolation, X-ray, and ultrasound which aims to help poor Filipinos. What to Expect: Cebu City to be ‘Singapore-like’ in 2025

Cebu City Mayor Michael “Mike” Rama recently shared his vision for Cebu City to be Singapore-like during his inaugural speech on June 30, 2022. In an effort to make Cebu City, “Singapore-like” – he plans to slowly lessen informal settlers who are also blocking the city’s rivers causing floods especially when we are experiencing severe rains brought by climate change. He laid out his plan to build 200 medium-rise buildings (MRBs) to accommodate informal settlers, homeless individuals, city employees, and those who
